Meet Katie doyle, LMFT

Ready to feel comfortable in your own skin again?

Do you remember a time when anxiety and sadness wasn’t the norm? When you could trust yourself, feel confident, and eager for tomorrow. When you felt connected to others, sure of your worth and potential. Don’t you wish you had tools to make today more like that?

You’re in the right place.

I’m here to help you.

I had postpartum depression and anxiety as well as grieved my brother who suddenly died at age 22. I know the desperation and anxiety you feel. I know the struggle between what is happening now and how great it could be “if only..” The sliver of hope that is quickly squashed by thoughts that it won’t ever get better, how could it? It can and it will! I can help you.

My style

I believe that pain is a fact of life but suffering is optional.

You have two basic responses to unpleasant events: to accept or to solve. Neither are right or wrong but they do impact our experiences. Acceptance doesn’t mean we are pleased, it means we are ready to stop struggling to solve something that is not a problem (like emotions).

Behaviors driven by our values lead to a meaningful life. You will learn to let your values guide you rather than thoughts and emotions. What if your values conflict or have changed? What if you don’t know what you value? This is normal. I teach values clarification skills so you can identify what is most important.

Through mindfulness and grounding, you will find space for difficult thoughts and emotions without being controlled by them. This will bring calm and reduce anxiety, but more importantly it will get you closer to the life you want.
