Meet Katie doyle, LMFT PMH-C
Don’t let another day end feeling disappointed.
If I could just finish all the things, then I could rest. I could finally take some time for myself.
I never get to do what I want! If I do, I end up feeling guilty.
You matter! Schedule a consult with me today, and prioritize yourself.
You’re in the right place.
I will show you the way.
I am a mom and an ambitious, caring person. I am often reading three books, knitting at least one project, having another craft project on deck, planning play-dates for my kiddos’ school, exercising, and checking in on a friend in need. It is fair to say that I want a lot out of life! All these things bring me joy and enrich my family!
What brings you joy? Do you want to grow at work, start your own business, go back to college, or run a marathon? I have read the expert’s books, taken the trainings, listened to the podcasts, and participated in educational groups to find how to truly balance it all. I am going to teach you how to build self-awareness, quiet that loud critical voice, and set boundaries so you can invest in yourself the way you invest in others in your life. You will feel grounded and joyful at the end of the day!
My style
I want you to have it all.
We each get 24 hours a day. Yes, you, me, your partner, and even that mom who looks perfect and has way more on her plate than you. We all get 24 hours a day. But our days are not structured the same. We will look at your days and see what is getting the majority of your time, your priorities, and explore what is not worth your time. I teach my clients to identify their priorities, develop effective strategies to fit in what matters most, and say no while not being riddled with guilt.
In order to prioritize your time well, we need to know what you value. What do you truly care about? Has it changed since becoming a parent? If you don’t know what you care about, that’s OK! I know how to help you identify your values.
Ideally, when we let our values guide our behaviors, we will feel happy and proud. When emotions guide our behaviors, we will often “get it wrong” and feel guilty, resentful, or ashamed. For example, I don’t value yelling at my kids, but when I am angry, scared, or tired, it sometimes happens.
My guiding values
Compassion
I want to know and feel your pain as well as your joy in life. Mistakes are how we learn, and painful emotions can arise when we make mistakes. With a compassionate approach, we can embrace mistakes and continue on the journey of finding joy in life.
Trust - Safety
Therapy with me is a safe space to explore your darkest, scariest thoughts. Whatever you are going through is welcome; all judgments are left outside our room! Nothing is “too much” or “wrong.”
Family
I have two kids, a husband, and four lovely pets. My family means everything to me. Taking care of my own needs positively impacts my entire family. I am eager to learn about your dreams for yourself as well as for your family.
Learning
I invest time and energy in learning each week. I stay up to date on quality resources and research to guide my work as a therapist. I devour books, trainings, and podcasts on improving work-life balance, burnout, mental load, and healthy relationships through boundaries.
